I painted the background with just water (not the house and ground) and then added quick sweeps of watercolor paint to some of that wet area. The paint spread itself in the water and created this effect.

HOME WORK
Capture a childhood memory of a tree. Keep in mind the demonstration that was shown in class (simplifying the tree into three values and three painted layers). This memory can be for e.g. you sitting under a tree for shade….. picking fruits….. climbing that tree, Just to name a few. Place the tree also in a painted setting. Try to recall what the backdrop was like, the mood of the day and try to capture that as well.
You can submit (email) the finished Painting.
The first 5 I receive will be discussed in class
